From Procrastination to Completion

Day 42 Friday September 9, 2011

Reading the Tabs titled “An Introduction”, “Background” and “About” will help you know what this blog is about. You can track my project progress from day one to today.

Date: Day 42 Friday September 9, 2011

Project Accomplishments: I finished hand piecing the center section of the quilt. All 67 pieces are together. I picked up templates that I am finished with and filed them in an envelope. I cleared my work table for the next step.

Books:  Title: #7 Circle of Quilters —  Author: Jennifer Chaverini 2006 — # of Discs: 9 —  Listening Time: 10 hours 15 minutes –

Book Comments: I finished this book today, discs 5-9 — It was good to refresh my memory about this story and I remembered parts of it as I listened. This is a light read but I enjoyed this book, it had tension, sadness and a little bit of mystery.

Exercise:  Walked on treadmill for 25  minutes

Tools: no new ones

Observations:  I am pleased to have the center hand piecing finished. The Paper Solvy that I ordered did not arrive yet. I hope to receive it tomorrow so I can print the large diamond patterns and get that machine sewing underway. But, if it does not come, I can sew sections A, B and C together

Prayer: Lord, you have given me so very much in life. I thank you. Although I will never know, I would like to know how you select what you do give and what you deny.

Diversions: I had a MSUCC gathering this afternoon. I practiced church music. I also sewed on the LAP doll quilt and ironed some denim for a jacket on which I plan to do some embroidery.
