Date: Day 40 Wednesday September 7,2011

Project Accomplishments: Today I worked on center all day. I hand pieced each segment. I used templates, water-soluble glue, starch and the iron in the process of assembly. I used light trapunto in the swirls and flame shapes.

Books: Title: #6 Code to Zero — Author: Ken Follett — # of Discs: 9 — Listening Time: 9 hours 45 minutes — Comments:

Book Comments: Continued on disc 6 to end-disc 9 –I had listened to this book before but did not “remember” the story. I enjoyed this book because of the time setting. I grew up during the early years of rocketry and ultimate trips into space. It was an interesting trip down memory lane. I also lived in Huntsville,  AL, where my husband worked on the space flight program.

Title: #7 Circle of Quilters —  Author: Jennifer Chaverini 2006 — # of Discs: 9 —  Listening Time: 10 hours 15 minutes — Comments: I have listened to this one before but will continue to the end. I listened through Disc 1.

Exercise:  Walked on treadmill for 25  minutes

Tools: no new ones

Observations:  I kept today clear of diversions. I hope to work uninterrupted. This worked until about 4:00.

Prayer: This morning, when I first looked out my window, a hummingbird was gathering nectar at the red salvias in my yard. What a beautiful sight, your nature is Lord. I ask that my own nature show that beauty too. I pray that I am always a pleasant person.

Diversions: I finished Code to Zero and had to go to the library. Then I picked up a few groceries. I also practiced church music.
